1) Steve Vai brings his hot, instrumental guitar rock play to the Palace Theatre. He is well know for his long, intricate guitar riffs.  Vai is a multi-Grammy Award winner and has played with Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth and White Snake. 8 p.m. Greensburg.

2) Opening tonight is City Theatre’s newest production, Electile Dysfunction: The Kinsey Sicks for President. The Kinsey Sicks are a Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet who are on a comedic mission to win the presidency with their four-part harmonies. 1300 Bingham Street, South Side.

3) World Party Acoustic and Meeting of Important People take the stage at Altar Bar. 8 p.m. 1620 Penn Avenue, Strip District.

4) Lawless (R), is a true tale of bootlegging brothers who seek the American Dream during Prohibition. The movie is set against the backdrop of a notorious crime wave and stars Tom Hardy, Shia LeBeouf, Jessica Chastain and Gary Oldman. The Oaks Theater 2:30, 5, 7:30 p.m. 310 Allegheny River Blvd., Oakmont.

5) The Citiparks Mellon Square Summer Concert Series concludes with rockers,  Xtremely Loaded. Noon- 1 p.m. Mellon Square Park, Downtown. Free.
