Pirates Last Regular Season Home Game; Shadyside House Tour (CPs Sun. 9/21/14)

1) Our beloved Buccos take the diamond again today against the Milwaukee Brewers for their last regular season home game. It’s also Kids Day, with a Family Fun Zone outside the ball yard beforehand, and all fans 14 and under receiving Kids knit ski caps and a chance to run the bases after the game. First pitch at 1:35 p.m. 115 Federal St., North Shore.

2) Are you a little “nebby?” Would you like to see the insides of some nice houses? Then the annual Shadyside House Tour is for you. View the interiors of homes in this architecturally diverse neighborhood best know for Victorian style. Seven very interesting houses are on the tour this year. Tickets can be purchased in advance, or on the day of the tour for a slight additional charge. For tickets and more information visit the Shadyside Action Coalition or purchase tickets before Sunday at Eureka Chocolate + Gifts, 735 Copeland St., Shadyside.

3) A Walk Among the Tombstones opened in theaters this past Friday and stars Liam Neeson. Having recently recovered his kidnapped daughter in another action franchise, Neeson now finds himself as an ex-NYPD cop hired by a drug dealer (played by Dan Stevens, late of “Downton Abbey”) to search and destroy the men who murdered the dealer’s family. Check Fandango for your local theater.
