1) Mike Love, a founding member and singer/songwriter for the quintessential American pop-rock band—The Beach Boysbrings his version of that band to Greensburg’s Palace Theatre for a concert. Love reunited a couple of years back with Brian Wilson and other surviving original members for a tour and album, and he performs tonight with his band under the Beach Boy’s banner. The Beach Boys created many top hits, including, “Surfin’ USA” (which Wilson co-wrote with Chuck Berry), “California Girls,” and “I Get Around.” 7:30 p.m. 21 W. Otterman St.

2) Chris Smither creates some very beautiful acoustic guitar music; add to that Smither’s husky blues voice and meaningful, heartfelt lyrics. The combination is almost transformational, with songs like “Killing the Blues” and “Leave the Light On.”  Smither is touring in support of his latest release—Still on the Levee—a double CD retrospective, which he recorded in New Orleans. Special guest is Milton. 8 p.m. Club Cafe, 56 – 58 S. 12th St., South Side.

3) For a little pre-Halloween spine chill, head on over to Lawrenceville’s Row House Cinema and see Nosferatu, F. W. Murnau’s 1922 German Expressionist version of Dracula—one of the first, if not the first, vampire stories ever filmed. Legend has it that the film’s star, Max Schreck, prepared for the role by sleeping in a coffin and munching on little forest critters. A silent movie classic. 4:15 p.m. Later this evening, at 10 p.m., Row House is screening The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. 4115 Butler St.
