Pirates vs. Angels; David Grisman Sextet at Three Rivers Arts Festival (Sat., 6/4/16)

1) Our battlin’ Bucs take on the Los Angeles Angels today in a 4:05 p.m. game. It’s also a pre-game Saturday Block Party, featuring live entertainment, food and beer options, games and more. Stop by the Leinenkugel Bar and meet former Pirates outfielder Omar Marino. Also first 20,000 fans receive a Pirates’ Fedora hat, and additionally it’s a Scratch ‘n Win Saturday. PNC Park, 115 Federal St.,  North Shore.

 

2) The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival is in its second day. The festival features 10 days of free art and music shows! There’s also hands-on arts activities for kids and theater productions. Don’t forget the festival food including gyros, grilled chicken kabobs, funnel cakes and plenty of deep-fried food items. Tonight’s featured musical act is the David Grisman Sextet. 7:30 p.m. Festival runs through June 16. Opens at noon daily. Point State Park and Gateway Center, Downtown.  

3) Mercedez, one of Pittsburgh’s best funk/dance/soul bands, plays “the wharf” at Baja Bar and Grill. 8 p.m. Fox Chapel Yacht Club and Marina, 1366 Old Freeport Rd., O’Hara Township.
