1) The Dirty Ball #10, It’s About Time—a fun event to benefit Attack Theatre—is happening tonight. the party plan includes Attack Theatre performances, throwback beats by TITLE TOWN Soul & Funk Party’s DJ Gordy G, space age art installations, ageless fashion showdowns, nibbles, and old-school libations. All this and more occurs in a large party space in a South Side warehouse. Want a more intense Dirty Ball experience? For an additional charge there’s also a VIP experience. Often times this event sells out so don’t delay. Get the dirty lowdown at Attack Theatre. 8 p.m. 415 Bingham St., South Side.

2) A true meeting of the city’s theater minds is unfolding at Pittsburgh Playhouse, as Point Park University’s Playhouse REP company presents the world premiere of a play written and directed by a pair of Carnegie Mellon drama professors. Endless Lawns is billed as “a collision of tragedy, comedy, and cocktails.” The play revolves around two elderly sisters whose dearly departed dad was a renowned actor, and be forewarned that explicit references to lawn mowing are made. Playwright Anthony McKay is an associate professor of acting at CMU. McKay’s colleague Gregory Lehane, a drama and music professor with a distinguished global resume in directing, is director of Endless Lawns. Studio Theatre at Pittsburgh Playhouse. 2 and 8 p.m., continues through tomorrow. 222 Craft Ave., Oakland.

3) Pittsburgh rock royalty Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers—who have remained a constant on the Pittsburgh musical scene as the city has changed from steel mills to high-tech foundry—are playing a gig tonight at The Meadows Casino. Grushecky and band are playing in support of their latest release Somewhere East of Eden. 8 p.m. No Cover. 210 Racetrack Rd., Washington.
