Altered Genius Brewery Crafty With Names and Beers (Fri., 11/21/25)

Altered Genius Brewing Co. brews beer and names it as well as arguably any other brewery in the craft game. Brew names include Hoptruvian, Genius Juice, Black GuyPA., Going Back to Cali, and Hannibal Nectar.  The food menu lists some delectable handhelds, including not only sandwiches, but also other intriguing options including poutine, Korean BBQ Shrimp Tacos, BBQ Pork Mac, and wings, and an impressive selection of mac and cheese. The appetizers are big, nearly meals in and of themselves, like the pretzels and beer cheese and the chicken nachos. Past events have included live music. The brewery culminates three families’ efforts to revamp an old barber school and hot dog shoppe in pretty downtown Ambridge. 411 Merchant St., Ambridge.
