1) Popular Pittsburgh rockers, The Clarks are in holiday concert mode at the South Side’s Rex Theatre tonight. Opening for The Clarks are Gene The Werewolf. 1602 E. Carson St.

2) Mercedez, a soul/funk band, plays Jergel’s Rhythm Grille in Warrendale. 9 p.m. 103 Slade Lane.

3) This is 40 (R) a follow up to the movie Knocked Up, is currently screening in local movie houses and cineplexes. The film stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann as a married couple, with children, who are trying to navigate their way through life in a relate-able  and amusing way. Also starring experienced comedic actors: Albert Brooks, John Lithgow, Jason Segel and Megan Fox. This is 40, is written and directed directed by Judd Apatow, who’s also married to the film’s leading lady, Leslie Mann. Their two daughters, Maude and Iris, play Mann’s and Rudd’s two daughters in the movie.

4) Brillobox hosts techno-rockers, Shockwave Riderz with special guests Puffy Aereolas and DJ Eric Yeschke (of Expensive Shit). 10 p.m.  4104 Penn Ave., Bloomfield.
