Cool Picks Saturday June 30, 2012

1) People will be partying in the parking lot and on boats with their boots on before country music superstar,  Kenny Chesney takes the field for a Heinz Field concert.  Chesney’s the headliner of the “Brother’s of the Sun Tour” with other great performers: Tim McGraw, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Jake Owen. Event starts at 4:30 p.m.

2) Grammy Award Hall of Fame inductee, and legendary singer, Johnny Mathis, joins the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra for a performance of great American songs including  his biggest hit “Chances Are”. 8 p.m. concert.

3) “Fathertime” plays Jergel’s Rhythm Grill. Their performances of classic rock and oldies starts at 9 p.m., Warrendale.

4) EQT Three Rivers Regatta kicks off today with sand sculptures, palm trees, inflatables, laser show, dance teams, drums & bugels, ice skating (yes, ice skating), steel drums and a parachutist, etc.

5) Kelly’s Irish Pub, riveside in Bridgewater, features “The Nighthawks” from 9 p.m. to midnight.
