1) Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and BNY Mellon Jazz present “JazzLive.” Featured today is Pittsburgh’s very special jazz artist, “drum ambassador” Roger Humphries, and his band RH Factor. Humphries has played with many jazz greats (the likes of and including Dizzy Gillespie, Stanley Turrentine, Richard “Groove” Holmes, Ray Charles, Lionel Hampton)  and has graced such venues as the Apollo Theater and Carnegie Music Hall in New York City. FREE and open to the public. 5-7 p.m. Backstage Bar at Theater Square. 655 Penn Ave., Downtown Cultural District.

2) The “Space Exchange” series continues at the Thunderbird Cafe, featuring guitarist Colter Harper, with Jeff Berman and Jeff Grubbs. Enjoy a cool evening of free form jazz/Latin/rock. 9 p.m. No cover. 4023 Butler Street in the “‘Ville,” Lawrenceville.

3) Andys Wine Bar in the Fairmont Hotel features noted Pittsburgh jazz guitarist Ken Karsh. 7:30-10:30 p.m. No cover. 510 Market Street, Downtown.

4) Mix South Side drinking with an open mic, what do you get? “Open Mic/ Standup Comedy Night” at The Smiling Moose. This interesting, and hopefully hilarious, event with hosts Derek Minto and John Pridmore. Sign up, 9:30 p.m. Open Mic, 10 p.m. Free. 1306 E. Carson St., South Side.
