Cool Picks brings you the best in Pittsburgh entertainment every day!

1) The Manhattan Transfer bring their cool jazz to the Palace Theatre tonight. Multi-Grammy award winners, Manhattan Transfer are known for their rich vocal harmonies. 8 p.m., 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg.

2) Citizens Bank and Pittsburgh International Children’s Theatre present If You Give a Mouse a Cookie & Other Story Books, a mini-musical revue based on storybooks full of lessons about winning, including: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Amazing Grace, Imogene’s Antlers, Borreguita and the Coyote, and others. Performances (recommended ages 3-10 yrs.) are at different locations through Sunday. Tonight’s performance is at Gateway High School, Monroeville (7 p.m.). Tomorrow’s performances are at Marshall Middle School, Wexford (5:30 & 7:30 p.m.).

3) Club Cafe hosts husband and wife folk duo Whitehorse. Their complex sound is based on a solid foundation of talented guitar work and mesmerizing vocal harmonies.  Special guest is Hero and the Lie. 8 p.m. 56-58 S. 12th St., South Side.

4) Bridge City String Duo (violin and cello) are the featured jazz performers tonight at Andys Wine Bar in the Fairmont Hotel lobby. 7:30-10:30 p.m. 510 Market Street, Downtown.
