Battle of the Baseball Managers (CP’s Wed. 5/29/13)

1) Highly respected former Pittsburgh Pirates manager Jim Leyland brings his Detroit Tigers to Pittsburgh to take on the current Pirates manager Clint Hurdle and his squad in a nine-inning contest. 7:05 p.m. PNC Park. North Shore.

2) Attack Attack!  a metalcore band , from Westerville, Ohio, whose music also contains elements of electronica, are on their farewell tour. The band’s latest release is This Means War. Special guests are The Plot In You,  Get ScaredDangerkidsCloser to Closure and Sycamore. 6:30 p.m. Mr. Smalls Funhouse, 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

3) Three members of one of  Pittsburgh’s favorite bands, ScottRob and Greg (drummer Dave is also beloved) of the Clarks take the stage at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille tonight and perform acoustic song sets. 8 p.m. 103 Slade Ln., Warrendale.

4) Set sail this evening with the Gateway Clipper’s Three River Barbecue Cruise aboard the triple-decker Majestic. In addition to a tasty dinner, you can enjoy the sun setting down the Ohio River Valley and dance the night away to the on-board DJ. 6:30 – 9:30  p.m. 350 W. Station Square Dr., Station Square.
