Godsmack Headlines UPROAR Fest; Braves Play Pirates (CPs Tues., 8/19/14)

1) Massachusetts alt-metal band Godsmack headlines the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, which also has SkilletBuckcherryPop EvilThese Raven Skies, and Tattered on the bill. Godsmack is touring in support of their latest album 1000 HP, with a single of the same name. Godsmack has had three straight No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart and 20 Top Ten hit rock songs. Between the energy drinks and the hard-core music, the audience is sure to be bouncin’ off of AE’s walls. Doors open at 4 p.m. Stage AE, 400 North Shore Dr., North Shore.

2) The Pirates go up against the Braves again tonight. The Boys of Summer are headin’ into the homestretch of the season, so don’t miss this chance to see the Buccos—or to see them again. 7:05 p.m. PNC Park. 115 Federal St., North Shore.

3) At Theater Square, jazz guitarist Mark Lucas is the featured performer for this Tuesday’s JazzLive series at Agnes Katz Plaza. Lucas has performed with many other distinguished local and national musicians and has even played the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia, Italy. No cover. 5 – 9 p.m. 655 Penn Ave., Cultural District.
