MLK Benefit for Duncan Porter House at Bloomfield Bridge Tavern; Pens vs. Capitals (Mon., 1/16/17)

1) Tonight the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern is hosting the 29th Annual Martin Luther King Day benefit for Duncan Porter House. Scheduled to appear are the Knauer Brothers with noted drummer Brad Smith sitting in behind the kit, Qlitterati, Midnight Ensemble, Phatmandee, Gena and Tommy Amoeba. The Duncan Porter House is a hospitality house for the homeless. Enjoy great music and support a worthy cause! While there you can even order one some pierogies, golabki, or haluski from the Tavern’s Polish-American menu. 9 p.m. 4412 Liberty Ave., Bloomfield.

2) The Pens are playing a home game at PPG Paints Arena tonight against the Washington Capitals. The team is back on home ice after three away games last week. Next up is an away game on Wednesday against the Montreal Canadiens 7 p.m. 1001 Fifth Ave., Uptown.
