Flashback Monday: Happy Together Tour Hits Heinz Hall (CPs Mon., 6/23/14)

1) Looking for a cool musical nostalgia trip? Then Heinz Hall is the place to be tonight with performances from some well-known 60’s and early 70’s acts, including: The Turtles (featuring Flo & Eddie), Chuck Negron (of Three Dog Night), Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, and Mark Farner (of Grand Funk Railroad). They’re all part of the Happy Together Tour 2014, and combined, these artists have over 50 Billboard Top 40 hits. 7:30 p.m. 600 Penn Ave., Cultural District.

2) Savoy Restaurant’s Savoy Jazz Mondays continues tonight with The Nick DeCesare Quartet. 6 – 10 p.m. No cover. 2623 Penn Ave., Strip District.

3) Check out new and established talent at one of the city’s best open stage nights, Club Cafe’s AcoustiCafe. Clinton Clegg  is the host of this supportive and friendly event. No cover. 7 p.m. 56 – 58 S. 12th St., South Side.

3) The Balcony Big Band’s hitting only high notes in a Monday night performance at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. 8 p.m. No cover. 285 Northgate Dr., Warrendale.
