Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District; Acousticafe British Invasion Tribute at Mr. Smalls (CPs Fri., 4/24/15)

1) Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District is happening tonight; it features visual arts, musical performances, and interactive exhibits. All events are free and take place at a variety of galleries, art spaces, and venues. Some galleries offer drinks and hors d’oeuvres. What a great way to sample some of Pittsburgh’s great arts and entertainment! 5:30 – 9 p.m., Cultural District.

2) Mr. Smalls hosts the 6th Annual AcoustiCafe Beatles Tribute. The performance will feature Beatles & British Invasion tributes by several of Pittsburgh’s top singer/songwriters, hosted by Jason Kendall and Joel Lindsey. Featuring mini-sets by Chet Vincent & the Big Bend (The Rolling Stones), Nox Boys featuring Josh Verbanets & Randy Baumann (the Kinks), Wreck Loose (The Who) and many other AcoustiCafe artists performing acoustic and electric Beatles songs. Proceeds benefit the Autism Connection of Pittsburgh. 7 p.m. 400 Lincorn Ave., Millvale.

3) Good Fridays at the Warhol is a weekly party at the museum, featuring art exhibits, music, and cocktails in the high temple to Andy Warhol’s numerous talents. Half-price museum admission. 5 – 10 p.m. 117 Sandusky St., North Shore.
