Jim Donovan & Sun King Warriors in Concert at Rivers Casino; Big Butler Fair Opens with The Clarks (Fri., 7/1/22)

Jim Donovan & Sun King Warriors. Donovan is a founding member of the Pittsburgh super group, Rusted Root. Jim Donovan & Sun King Warriors play a certain style of jam rock. It has been described as, “A blend of rhythm heavy roots rock, with a strong dose of big barreling drums.” Their goal is to get people on the dance floor and have a good time. The group is having a busy summer with performing with The Clarks last weekend at Stage AE, and upcoming shows at the Great Blue Herron Music Festival this Sunday and a concert at Crafthouse with Bill Deasy on July 21. Tonight they will be playing Rivers Casino Drum Bar. Their latest release is 2018’s We See Through It. 9 p.m. No cover. 777 Casino Dr., North Shore.

2) Big Butler Fair Kicks off today with rides, food, attractions, animal judging contests, and tractor pulls. There’s even a school bus demolition derby! Tonight is bike night and a free concert from popular area rockers The Clarks (8 p.m.). The fair continues through July 9. 1127 New Castle Road, Prospect.
