Oktoberfest Pittsburgh Has Big Fun on Tap; Hilton Garden Inn Airport Fall Festival (Thurs., 10/2/25)

1) It is Entertainment Central Pittsburgh’s opinion that a city can not have too many Oktoberfests, especially one that involves a Ferris Wheel on a bridge (Roberto Clemente/Sixth Street Bridge). Fort Duquesne Boulevard will be transformed into a Bavarian village with booths, colorful banners, and traditional Oktoberfest decorations. There visitors will find local entertainment, traditional games, and a variety of food and beverage options. There will be a variety of local and German beers as well as non-alcoholic beverages. And don’t forget the live music. Several Downtown restaurants will be offering a Taste of Oktoberfest on their menus. Organizers promise a blend of “Bavarian tradition and Steel City spirit.” On the bridge there will be also be an all-ages-friendly Karneval which will feature food vendors, activities, and carnival style games. Oktoberfest Pittsburgh runs through October 12. Sunday through Thursday noon to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday noon to 10 p.m. Advance purchase tickets for the Ferris Wheel are recommended.

2) It’s time once again for the Hilton Garden Inn Airport Fall Festival. The event features food trucks including: Cousins Maine Lobster, Hibachi Lou, Ambridge Italian Villa, South Side BBQ, and The Roaming Bean. There will also be live music by John Sarkis, local vendors selling items or promoting their business, autographs by former Pittsburgh Penguin Hockey player Ken Wregget, pumpkin painting and bounce house, photo booth, fall drink specials, and more. 4:30 to 8 p.m. 9600 University Blvd.
