Pittsburgh CLO Opens ‘Suffs’ at Benedum (Tues., 7/21/26)

Unbelievably, women didn’t get the right to vote until 1920 when the 19th amendment was ratified. And Broadway creators have turned that suffragette movement into an Tony Award-winning Broadway musical. Shaina Taub created the music, lyrics, and book for Suffs. She even played the role of Alice Paul when it opened off-Broadway in 2022 and its subsequent move to Broadway. Suffs is onstage in Pittsburgh through July 26. 7:30 p.m. 237 7th Street, Cultural District.
