Stage Right Has ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ at The Lamp; Hundred Acres Manor Hauntings; Revel + Roost Halloween Party (Sat., 10/26/19)

1) Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania, first burst upon the scene in the 1973 London musical that preceded the movie. The Rocky Horror Show has been produced in languages from Icelandic to Japanese, and you can catch the English original with Stage Right of Greensburg performing Rocky Horror Oct. 25-26 at The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin, and Oct.Nov. 1 at the Greensburg Garden Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Rd., Greensburg. 3) Looking for a cool place to have some Halloween fun? Well look no further than one of Pittsburgh’s hottest spots—Revel +Roost. The fourth annual event’s theme is Heaven & Hell and features an open bar from 8 to 9 p.m. with an appetizer and dessert buffet until 10 p.m., dazzling cocktails, live DJ music, costume contests, prizes and more. Dress spooky, gory, or sexy to win the Halloween costume contest. There is also a VIP option. 242 Forbes Ave., a few steps from Downtown’s Market Square.

4) One of Pittsburgh’s hottest sports teams takes the field tonight—The Riverhounds. The squad takes on the Birmingham Legion FC in the first round of the 2019 playoffs 7 p.m. at Highmark Stadium. See some great soccer action up close and in person. 510 W. Station Square Dr., Station Square.

5) Oakland will be rockin’ this weekend as both Pitt and CMU’s homecomings are occurring. On the gridiron the Pitt Panthers take on ACC Coastal Division rival the Miami Hurricanes at Heinz Field at noon. The CMU Tartans and their mascot Scottie, the Scottish terrier, meet the Thiel Tomcats at CMU’s Gesling Stadium at 1 p.m. Good luck to both the Panthers and Tartans!
