The Hangar a Landing Spot for Food, Drinks and Fun; Strikes, Spares and More at Arsenal Bowl (Mon., 11/4/19)

1) Is there a better name for a restaurant near an airport than The Hangar? Whether you are a Moon resident, Robert Morris student, or a passenger soon to depart or arrive from Pittsburgh International, The Hangar is a top spot to park and refuel. The restaurant prides itself on its wings and freshly fried fish. Plenty of other food is on the full menu, some of it aeronautically themed (The “B-52” Dog, The Hangar sandwich), others not but equally delicious (Ultimate Nachos, Hot Roast Beef). Enjoy a meal or drink while watching local sports teams on one of 13 50-inch flat screens.  500 Flaugherty Run Rd., Moon Township. (CM)

2) Arsenal Bowl is a longtime entertainment stalwart of the Lawrenceville entertainment scene. It’s been in business since 1938. We’ve all heard of “all-you-can-eat restaurant” specials. At Arsenal Bowl, they have all-you-can-bowl specials during certain time periods every day of the week except Tuesdays. During Rock and Bowl (Wednesday night, 9 p.m. – midnight), you get all-you-can-bowl and a live band on the lanes for $9 (no, if you bowl, you won’t be able to hit them with your ball). For Top Shelf Saturday Night (9 p.m. – midnight), the bowling alley brings in a DJ. You can bowl all you desire for $12.95, plus there’s $1 off top-shelf liquors. The kitchen offers munchies, burgers, and pizza. 4310 Butler St., in the heart of “the Ville,” Lawrenceville.
