“Not too Shabby” was one of comedian Adam Sandler‘s top lines when he was part of the regular cast on “Saturday Night Live.” His Opera Man character and “The Chanukah Song” endeared him to many fans, but not to NBC execs. He and Chris Farley were fired from the show in 1995. Sandler turned that negative energy into positive energy, starring in a string of successful movies including Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy. He even teamed up with old SNL pal, Chris Farley on several films. Sandler has been nominated and won several top film awards, he’s also been nominated and won Golden Raspberry Awards. Sandler’s not afraid to take a risk or look silly. Uncut Gems, a 2019 film, saw Sandler taking on a more serious dramatic role. He received critical praise for his performance. Sandler can do many things including playing a good game of hoops. See Sandler at the PPG Paints Arena. 7:30 p.m. 1001 Fifth Ave., Uptown.
