1) Attention ladies: Rick Springfield, former soap opera hunk (General Hospital) and Grammy Award-winning pop singer, takes the stage at Greensburg’s Palace Theatre. His breakout hit was “Jessie’s Girl” in 1981. Springfield’s other top songs include “Don’t Talk to Strangers” and “I Get Excited.” 8 p.m.  21 W. Otterman St.

2) Drive-By Truckers are pulling the rig off the road for a show at Mr. Smalls Funhouse. A stirring combination of guitars, vocals and drums gives their music a soulful, rocking, country sound. Special guest is Glossary. 8 p.m. 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

3) There’s royalty in town tonight, Queen Latifa, Oscar-nominated actress and Grammy Award-winning musician, will perform a program of jazz standards and R & B hits. Thurs.&Fri., 8 p.m. Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Ave., Downtown Cultural District.

4) Midnight Radio: Pittsburgh Ghost Stories is a production of Bricolage Theater company and done in a radio-style, live variety-show format. This installment, “The Haunted,” features a narrative based on local hauntings and ghost stories written by Jeffrey Carpenter and Matthew Adams. The production has occasional musical breaks by local singer Phat Man Dee, accompanied by guitarist Carlos Pena. Spooktacular stories start at 9 p.m. 937 Liberty Ave., Downtown Cultural District.

5) Get your little ghosts and goblins over to the Bloomfield Citizens Council 43rd Annual Family Night Halloween Parade. Yo Gabba Gabba (from the kid’s TV show) are leading the parade joined by children marchers.  There will also be marching bands and prizes given for best costume. 150 prizes in all. Marchers line up at 7 p.m., Winebiddle St. Parade starts, 7:30 p.m. and proceeds down Liberty Ave.
