1) Blues musician Bonnie Raitt is in concert tonight at Heinz Hall. Raitt, after working hard for more than 10 years, achieved mega-success on the strength of her albums Nick of Time (1989) and Luck of the Draw (1991). “Something to Talk About” and “I Can’t Make You Love Me” were high-charting songs from the latter album. She had another hit album in 2012, with Sliptstream, her first in seven years. Raitt will be appearing with special guest Marc Cohn. 8 p.m. 600 Penn Ave., Cultural District.
2) Altar Bar hosts California rockers Toad the Wet Sprocket, who took the fictional band name from Monty Python’s Eric Idle, created for the 1975 BBC-TV show “Rutland Weekend Television.” The band scored a top hit in 1991 with “All I Want.” Toad is touring in support of its first album in 16 years, Constellation. Opening is Lee DeWyze. 7:30 p.m. 1620 Penn Ave., Strip District.
3) Over at Carnegie Library Music Hall in Munhall, Streetlight Manifesto takes the stage. They’re a ska punk band from New Jersey that started in 2003 and is currently on their End of the Beginning Tour. Opening is Dan Potthast and Mike Park. 7 p.m. 510 E. 10th St.
4) The Balcony Big Band is hitting only high notes in a Monday night performance at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. 8 p.m. No cover. 103 Slade Ln., Warrendale.
