Jazz Singer Diana Krall Plays Benedum; South Side’s Nakama Features Grilled Meats and Sushi (Tues., 6/27/17)

1) Mulit-Grammy Award winner Diana Krall performs tonight at the Benedum Center as part of the Trust’s Cohen & Grigsby Presents Series. Krall has achieved a remarkable level of success and is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. Plus in addition to an evening of great jazz every ticket buyer will receive a free copy of her latest album Turn Up the Quiet. She is touring in support of the album. Krall is married to another highly talented musician, Elvis Costello. 8 p.m. 237 7th St., Cultural District.

2) Nakama Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar is one of the most acclaimed restaurants in Pittsburgh, having amassed more than two dozen “Best of” awards from local publications and nearly 50 people’s choice awards—all since they opened their doors in 2003. 3) Do you want to go see the battlin’ Buccos play the Tampa Bay Rays but your dog is giving you the “we don’t spend enough time together” look. Don’t fret the Pirates got you covered with Pup Night, aka bring your dog to the Pirate game night.
