1) Artist Vincent van Gogh inspired many, including the horticultural designers at Phipps Conservatory. Their Van Gogh in Bloom flower show recreates several of the famous artist’s most famous works through vibrant flowers and plants, trees, and specially created props. The artist’s works that have been transformed for the exhibit includes: “Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Wheat Field with Cypresses.” Beautiful in the daylight, as well as on Friday nights when the conservatory is open until 10 p.m. Seeing Van Gogh in Bloom at night reveals the intricate interplay between light and shadow, highlighted by architectural lighting.
