Vintage Grand Prix Invitational Car Show on Walnut

It was a beautiful Monday night. Many folks came to take a stroll on tree-lined Walnut street in the charming Pittsburgh neighborhood of Shadyside and view an amazing assemblage of classic cars. The event was part of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix’s race week festivities. Car owners and car lovers came from near and far to participate in this fun event. Shadyside restaurants and bars were all very busy.

This beauty is a 1932 Franklin 163 Convertible. Notice the rumble seat in the back.
This hot-looking 1967 Chevrolet Corvette has a 427 engine.
Ryan Winner of Mars, takes great pride in his 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible, and rightfully so.
1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT. Shelby and Mustang are the marquee of the year for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix.

Women want a little muscle sometimes too as evidenced by this "Playboy Pink" rare Ford Mustang. It is owned by Albert & Mia Senic of North Braddock. Albert even has the invoice from his aunt, Della Sonta, the original owner, who paid an up-charge for the distinctive paint job. Several of these cars were given to Playboy Playmates in the 1960s.
This sleek racer is a Ford GT-40 MK IV.
Always nice to see a Ferrari. This one is a 1988 Testarossa.
