Older Pittsburghers love to wax nostalgic about restaurants that are no longer. But in Regent
Square, where the new Frick Park Tavern recently opened, no one’s really talking about the
former Ease Modern Comfort Cuisine which stood before it. Pittsburghers old—and young—are
flocking to this new iteration of space and cuisine that suits this diverse neighborhood perfectly. Interesting mains are the half chicken and herb flank steak. So, too, are the deviled eggs appetizer, about which my mother made me a snob. Other popular selections include the mojo tacos and Frick Park Tavern’s signature entree, their meatloaf. Domestic and imported wine and beers, and craft cocktails are also offered. This restaurant could become a new Pittsburgh classic. 1100 S. Braddock Ave., Regent Square. (P. Orr)
