James Johnson III Quintet Plays Allegheny Overlook Park (Tues., 7/13/21)

BNY Mellon Presents JazzLive, is happening every Tuesday evening  from 5-7 p.m. at Allegheny Overlook park. This week it’s drummer James Johnson III and his quintet. He was mentored by jazz legend Roger Humphries at CAPA High School and has played with such notables as Ahmad Jamal, George Coleman, and James Moody. James is an Artist in Residence at the University of Pittsburgh School of Music. In addition to being a talented percussionist, James is also a composer and producer. Ft. Duquesne Blvd. Downtown.
