If you have some winter doldrums, now may be the time to get out of your house and visit the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Sure, the dinosaurs are awesome and the gem collection is unsurpassed, but the museum offers so much more. Check out the Alcoa Foundation Hall of American Indians where the beaded moccasins and porcupine quill art is stunning. Or the Wycoff Hall of Arctic Life with its replica igloo and walrus-mounted iceberg. And don’t forget the Walton Hall of Ancient Egypt. The Natural History Museum even offers virtual and museum to go programs. Open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. today. Timed ticketing is in recommended, you can buy in advance of your visit.
