1) Chamber Music Pittsburgh‘s 57th annual subscription series at the Carnegie Music continues tonight with a performance by trumpeter Sean Jones who will play a classical program featuring dancers from Attack Theatre and additionally members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. All three groups will collaborate on Igor Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat, featuring Attack Theatre’s original dance and narrative interpretation. Also on the bill is a world-premiere work, Noir in Blue, by composer Wynton Kelly Stone Guess. Jones will finish the program with selected jazz works to be announced from the stage. 7:30 p.m. 4400 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
2) Tonight at the PPG Paints Arena our Pens face off against our “friends” from Philadelphia, The Flyers. The team is then off until they play the Sabres in Buffalo on Friday. The Pens currently occupy fifth place in the NHL’s Metropolitan Division. 7 p.m. 1001 Fifth Ave., Uptown.
