1) There’s a “bluegrass jam” happening with the Shelf Life String Band at the North Side’s Park House. 2) NOLA on the square’s featured jazz artist tonight is saxophonist Rick Matt. Music starts at 8 p.m. 24 Market Square, Downtown.

3) Nathan Angelo fuses “soulful keys, storytelling, rock-infused melodies and heartbreaking hooks” into a dynamic performance as he takes the stage tonight at Club Cafe. Special guest is Matt Simons. 8 p.m.  56-58 S. 12th Street, South Side.

4) The Smiling Moose has rockers The Swellers on the bill tonight with guests  Diamond Youth, Pentimento, and Mace Ballard. Upstairs. 6:30 p.m., 1306 E. Carson St., South Side.
