1) Smiling Moose Bar hosts Daybreaker, a high energy, alt-rock band outta Boston, Mass. Special guests include Candy Hearts, Go Home Rocketmen, The Clementes. 6:30 p.m. All ages. 1306 E. Carson St. (Upstairs).

2) Andys Wine Bar in the Fairmont Hotel is presenting “An Evening of Opera and Beyond” with Anna Singer & Friends. 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. No cover. 510 Market Street, Downtown.

3) Rockers Chain & the Gang (Ian Svenonius) with special guests Shockwave Riderz (formerly Wet Shock) give a show at  Brillobox. 9:30 p.m. 4104 Penn Ave., Bloomfield.

4) Richard Gere stars in “Arbitrage,” a new movie that recently debuted in Pittsburgh. Gere plays a shady hedge fund owner, married to co-star Susan Sarandon. While trying to sell his business, Gere’s character makes a major mistake and has to turn to an unlikely source for help. Arbitrage screens today at the Manor Theatre at 2, 4, 6:05, 8:05 & 10 p.m. 1729 Murray Ave., Squirrel Hill.
