1) Entertainment Renaissance man Harry Connick, Jr., pianist, singer, actor, painter, author and more, performs tonight at Heinz Hall. Connick, Jr., has sold over 16 million albums and is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as one of the top-selling male artists in the U.S. He also played a fighter pilot in the 1996 movie Independence Day. 8 p.m. 600 Penn Ave., Cultural District.
2) Championship Play Round 1 starts today at the Constellation Senior Players Championship. This PGA tour stop features two new World Golf Hall of Fame inductees, Fred Couples and Colin Montgomerie. Other big names include Tom Watson, Hale Irwin, Larry Nelson, Tom Kite, Sandy Lyle, Nick Price, and Bernhard Langer. Greensburg’s own PGA star Rocco Mediate will also be teeing off in the tournament. First tee time 7:15 a.m. Check site for parking and shuttle bus info. Continues through Sunday. Fox Chapel Golf Club, Fox Chapel.
3) Wow! The Jaggerz, Joe Grushecky, The Granati Brothers, PGH, No Bad Ju Ju, Billy Price, Johnny Angel, Frank Czuri, Kenny Blake, Bryan Cole, and Time Tested w/Paul Martino will all play the Man Up Jam for Prostate Cancer event at Altar Bar tonight. Enjoy some of the best music Pittsburgh has to hear and benefit a great cause, a true win-win situation! Proceeds go to the Obediah Cole Foundation for Prostate Cancer 6:30 p.m. 1620 Penn Ave., Strip District.
4) Pittsburgh Citiparks Cinema in the Park runs tonight in Brookline Memorial Park. The featured film is Thunderstruck (PG), a “bas-com (basketball comedy)” starring Kevin Durant, Taylor Gray, and Jim Belushi. Movies start at dusk and are FREE. Oakridge St., Brookline.
5) Jessica Lee, jazz vocalist, plays “Entrepreneurial Thursdays Jazz Networking Jam Session” at Little E’s Jazz Club. 5:30 -8 p.m. $5 cover; no cover if ordering food and drinks. 949 Liberty Ave., 2nd floor. Downtown.
6) Do some drinking and dancing at Belvederes Ultra Dive NEON -80’s Night with DJ Hatesyou 2.0. 9 p.m. 4016 Butler St., Lawrenceville.
