1) Comedian Tammy Pescatelli brings her special brand of hilarity to Pittsburgh Improv for a three-night stand. Her star rose quickly when she made it to the final five on the NBC TV show “Last Comic Standing 2.” Pescatelli has been a coveted guest on many other shows, including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” BRAVO TV’s “Rocco’s Dinner Party,” and CBS’s “The Talk.” Comedy Central’s 2010 “Stand-Up Showdown” crowned Pescatelli the competition’s winner, and she’s also had her own comedy special on that network. Pescatelli grew up in a large Italian family 133 miles northwest of Pittsburgh (Cleveland), and both provide her with great material. (We Pittsburghers also know how to laugh at ourselves.) She now has a house in Meadville, Pa., and her own reality TV show on We TV, “A Stand Up Mother,” which is set in Meadville and focuses on her life as a mother and as a stand-up comedian. Head on over to the Improv, have a few cold ones, and enjoy some great comedy. 8 and 10:15 p.m. Nightly shows through Sunday. 166 E. Bridge St., The Waterfront, Homestead.
2) Donnie Iris, aka King Cool, is performing at Jergel’s tonight for the first time with his band, The Cruisers. Sure to be on the set list are top favorites, including “Ah Leah” and “Love Is Like a Rock.” Special guest is Fathertime. 8 p.m. 285 Northgate Dr., Warrendale. This event has just SOLD OUT.
3) There’s a great Italian restaurant in Wexford tucked into the same building that houses the prestigious Oxford Athletic Club and several other businesses. Grazie Restaurant and Event Center, a family-style restaurant with high-quality food, full bar, and an outdoor patio overlooking the Oxford Athletic Club’s pool, is open to the public. The menu offers rich, traditional Italian fare as well as healthier options. Menu categories are appetizers, salads, specialty pizzas, hoagies, wraps, gourmet burgers, sandwiches, pastas, and seafood. Highlights include Stuffed Banana Peppers, Fried Zucchini, Greek and Margherita Pizzas, Grilled Turkey Burger, Nunna’s Meatballs, Mediterranean Salmon Salad, Pappardelle Alfredo, Sausage Broccolini Ravioli, Pasta a la Grazie, Tuscan Chicken, and Crab Cakes. Pasta and specialty menu items are available after 4 p.m. There are also several nice selections on the Kids’ menu, and the servers are friendly and attentive. Grazie is open for lunch and dinner daily. 100 Village Club Dr.
4) Good Fridays at the Warhol is a weekly party at the museum, featuring art exhibits, music, and cocktails in the high temple to Andy Warhol’s numerous talents. Half-price museum admission. 5 – 10 p.m. 117 Sandusky St., North Shore.
