Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying at Mr. Smalls (CP’s Mon. 3/25/13)

1) National metal-core bands The Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying (Christian metal-core)  are in concert at Mr. Smalls Funhouse for the second half of a two night stand. Special guests are For Today and The Chariot. 7 p.m. 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

2) If you’re interested in seeing a classically trained cellist who’s transformed into a genre-busting, heavy metal cello musician (and who wouldn’t be curious) then be at The Smiling Moose tonight at  7 p.m. for the Helen Money show. Opening is Bear Skull and experimental electronic music from Cascade and Columbine. 1306 E. Carson St., South Side.

3) The Balcony Big Band’s hitting only high notes in a Monday night performance at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. 8 p.m. No cover. 285 Northgate Dr., Warrendale.

4) Savoy Restaurant’s Savoy Jazz Monday’s continues tonight with host band, Roger Humphries Trio and featured musician, jazz vocalist Etta Cox. 5 – 9 p.m. No cover. 2623 Penn Ave., Strip District.
