Harris @ Home is a chance to watch three original documentary movies while supporting the Harris Theater. Rock Camp: The Movie follows adult campers who learn how to rock with their childhood heroes turned camp counselors, such as the Who’s Roger Daltrey, Heart’s Nancy Wilson, Slash, and more. All jam together at the camp’s conclusion. The Reason I Jump is based on the book of the same name by Naoki Higashida. He, a nonverbal person with autism, wrote it when he was just 13. His words, along with the stories of five others, narrate the experiences of non-speaking people with autism and neurodiversity as a whole. Finally, the eponymous subject of The Changin’ Times of Ike White was serving a life-sentence for murder. White recorded an acclaimed soul album behind bars, and Stevie Wonder lobbied for his early release. Yet when he was freed, White disappeared from the spotlight. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust curated the films and a portion of proceeds benefit the Harris, which is downtown on Liberty Avenue. The movies are available to rent separately through February 15 and must be watched within 48 hours of payment. (CM)
