Lynn Speakman Quintet Plays Allegheny Overlook Park (Tues., 8/17/21)

Lynn Speakman, who plays alto saxophone and flute, will be performing with her Quintet at Allegheny Overlook Park this evening beginning at 5 p.m. She is a talented performer, composer, arranger, copyist, and music educator and has played with many noted jazz groups. This evening the Lynn Speakman Quintet will perform original compositions and arrangements written by Speakman as well as hard bop era selections from the books of the Cannonball Adderley Quintet, Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, and more. The concert is a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and BNY Mellon. Ft. Duquesne Blvd., Cultural District.
