1) Pittsburgh VegFest returns today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Allegheny Commons Park East on the North Side. The festival, which is for the benefit of Justice for Animals charitable organization, features some of the best veg food in Pittsburgh, music, shopping, speakers, food, yoga demos, and family friendly entertainment. There’s also the 2nd Annual One Mile Pet Walk to benefit Justice for Animals. This festival gives new meaning to the term “Veg-out.”
2) 2020 and 2021 have been very tough years for the hospitality industry. Moe’s Southwest Grill‘s local owner, Mike Geiger, appreciates the support his business has received from the communities they have locations in. As a way of repaying the public, Geiger, in collaboration with Easy Street Promotions, has created the Moe’s Thank You Pittsburgh Brewery Tour with several stops at local breweries with free Moe’s food and live music. Today’s stop is at Allegheny City Brewing (North Side) with Buffalo Rose performing. Noon to 3 p.m. 507 Foreland St., North Side.
