In recent weeks, an original menu of Titanic’s First Class dining selections was won in an auction for more than $100,000. The new owner may never let you see it, but the Carnegie Science Center invites you to examine hundreds of other artifacts recovered from the disastrous maiden (and only) voyage of the RMS Titanic. The ship sailed to its doom in April, 1912. Visitors are presented boarding passes with an historic identification so “passengers” can tour full-scale room recreations, actual dining room settings, displays of rare jewelry—even the original telegraph mechanism that S-O-S-ed for help. It’s an immersive experience never to be forgotten. Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Carnegie Science Center, One Allegheny Ave, North Shore through April 15.
