1) Music has been an integral part of military units over the millenniums. It can amplify emotions to fight, celebrate, commemorate, and relax. The U.S. military has some of the nation’s finest musicians. One of those units, the U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors, will perform a free concert at Greensburg’s Palace Theatre. Although all tickets have been distributed, open seats at 7:20 p.m. are available to the public. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. 21 W. Otterman St.
2) Singer/songwriter Langhorne Slim (born Sean Scolnick in Langhorne, Pa.), once part of the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, will be performing with his band, the Law tonight at Mr. Smalls Funhouse. Opening the show is The Felice Brothers. 8 p.m. 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.
3) Savoy Restaurant’s Savoy Jazz Mondays continues tonight featuring The Jevon Rushton Quartet. 6 – 10 p.m. No cover. 2623 Penn Ave., Strip District.
4) The Balcony Big Band’s hitting only high notes in a Monday night performance at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. 8 p.m. No cover. 285 Northgate Dr., Warrendale
