Wild Earth Music, Art, and Culture Festival at Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium

Nearly 55 years ago, the first Earth Day was celebrated throughout the country. Then proposed by Gaylord Nelson, a U.S. Senator representing Wisconsin, Earth Day is today a national celebration of environmental awareness, sustainability and conscientious practices recognizing our fragile planet. On Saturday, April 20, in Pittsburgh, come celebrate the upcoming Earth Day with Wild Earth Music Art, and Culture Festival at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. The event is presented by Pittsburgh Earth Day and The Green Voice. The celebration of our glorious planet will include live bands, educational booths, and creative activities for kids and adults. Beginning at 10 a.m., DJ SMI with artist Kevin Wenner will warm up the festivities followed by the MIA Z. Band at 11:30 and the Good Karma Band at 1 p.m.. Headlining the musical fun is Jim Donovan & Sun King Warriors at 2:30. Visit sponsor booths, make some art, and embrace the eco-diversity of our one blue planet with awe-inspiring visits to all the “natural” habitats and their plentiful animals. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is free with regular admission. Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, 1 Wild Place (7370 Baker Street), Highland Park.
