Downtown Pittsburgh Set to Celebrate Highmark Light Up Night (Sat., 11/23/24)

Tonight’s Annual Highmark Light Up Night is the official kick off to Pittsburgh’s holiday season—even if some national retailers started the holiday season the day after Halloween. Highlights include several tree-lighting ceremonies, ice skating at PPG Plaza, Xfinity Zambelli Fireworks Finale (9:30 p.m.), and an appearance by Santa.  The main headliner is indie/alt rockers, The Fray. There’s also top-notch local entertainment on several stages. Local groups performing include Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers, Meeting of Important People, Hugo Cruz & The Caminos, The Buckledowns, and DJ Arie Cole. There are plenty more activities. This is a holiday celebration not to miss. 3 to 11 p.m., Downtown.
