Pittsburgh Savoyards Have ‘Patience’ (Fri., 10/4/24)

Pittsburgh Savoyards are one of the oldest arts organizations in Pittsburgh. Tonight they start their 87th season with a staging of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience, Or, Bunthorne’s Bride. This lively operetta “satirizes the aesthetic movement of the 1870s and 1880s. Two rival poets, Reginald Bunthorne and Archibald Grosvenor, vie for the affection of the beautiful dairy maid Patience.” Pittsburgh Savoyards are staging it at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center located in the North Hills. Runs through October 13. 7:30 p.m. 3579 Masonic Way.
