1) The perennial holiday season favorites, The Harlem Globetrotters, will visit the ‘Burg for a match against the Washington Generals. The basketball ambassadors of fun will captivate the crowd with trick shots, audience participation,  joke plays and goodwill.  Current Globetrotters, Herbert “Flight Time” Lang  and Nathaniel “Big Easy” Lofton were a team of contestants on two seasons of the CBS TV show, The Amazing Race. The team also features several female players including: T-Time Brawner, TNT Maddox, and Mighty Mitchell. 7 p.m. Consol Energy Center, Uptown.

2) Stay in the holiday spirit by visiting the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. There you’ll see the Neapolitan Presepio: one of the finest collections of nativity figurines. Handcrafted by Italian artisans between the years 1700 and 1830. While there you’ll also enjoy Carnegie Trees: 2012: Inspired by the World’s Fairs, seven 20-ft Colorado spruce trees adorned with handcrafted ornaments that highlight art, culture and science.

3) Jimbo & The Soupbones will be belting out their special mix of blues/funk/soul tonight. Get out on the floor and dance off some of your holiday consumption. 8 p.m. Cover only $3.  Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. 103 Slade Lane, Warrendale.

4) There’s a Bluegrass Jam at North Side’s Park House, hosted by the Shelf Life String Band. Join the jam or kick back, relax and enjoy the music. 9 p.m. to midnight. During the jam Yuengling  draft pints only $2. No cover. 403 E. Ohio St.
