Classic Boy Band Palooza at Consol (CP’sTues. 6/11/13)

1) New Kids on the Block, who formed in Boston with the Wahlberg brothers, take over the block framed by Fifth, Center, Washington and Crawford Avenues, otherwise known as the Consol Energy Center. It’s a boy band palooza with 98 Degrees  (Nick Lachey) and Boyz II Men also on the bill. One thing’s for sure, there will be plenty of great vocal harmonies emanating from the Consol tonight! 7:30 p.m. 1001 Fifth Ave., Uptown.

2) The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival continues today. The festival features 10 days of free art and music shows! There’s also theater productions and hands-on arts activities for kids. Don’t forget the festival food including gyros, grilled chicken kabobs, funnel cakes and plenty of deep-fried food items! Tonight’s featured musical act at the Dollar Bank Stage is Grupo Fantasma, a Grammy Award-winning Latin funk band. 7 p.m. Festival opens at noon daily and runs through June 16. Point State Park and Gateway Center, Downtown.

3) Indie-rock band The National, made up of two sets of brothers, one of which are twins, plays Stage AE. The National’s  music has a rich, dark tone to it. Opening act is Dirty Projectors. Doors open at 7 p.m.  400 North Shore Dr., North Shore.

4) The Pirates take on the San Francisco Giants in a 7:05 p.m. game at PNC Park. North Shore.
