Club Cafe Hosts the Steel City Comedy Tour (CP’s Thurs. 8/22/13)

1) The Steel City Comedy Tour featuring Chuck Krieger with Special guests Mike Wysocki, Tommy Kupiec, Tone Bock, and Ray Zawandi and plus several local rising stars is happening at Club Cafe tonight. They promise “yinz will laugh your asses off!” 10:30 p.m. 56-58 S. 12th St., South Side.

2) Make it a movie night at Harrison Hills Park soccer field for a screening of Oz the Great and Powerful. In this adapted prequel to the beloved The Wizard of Oz, James Franco stars in the dreamy story of how a young man from Kansas ends up as our favorite wizard. Dusk. 5200 Freeport Rd., Natrona Heights and Harrison township.

3) Dance off some beer carbs while drinking beer (or other beverages) at Belvedere’s Ultra Dive NEON -80’s Night with DJ Hatesyou. 9 p.m. 4016 Butler St., Lawrenceville.

4) College can be tough on a student’s brain and finances. Get relief for both at the The Rowdy Buck bar on the South Side. Thursday night is College Night with $2 mixed drinks and $2 Bud Lights from 9 – 11 p.m. Ham Barbeque sandwiches only $1!! That’s almost equal to the cost per serving of other college student staples—-ramen noodles and Kraft Mac’ and Cheese. 1325 E.
