Attack Theatre Performs at Homewood Coliseum; “The Boxtrolls” Currently Playing (CPs Thurs., 10/2/14)

1) Attack Theatre gives a free performance today at the Pittsburgh Coliseum in Homewood. Attendees will get a sneak peek at their latest dance performance, Are You Still There? as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the historic Homewood landmark. Meet the creative team of Attack Theatre during this open rehearsal; there will also be a question-and-answer session with the performers. Free admission from 2 – 5 p.m. as part of Allegheny County RADical Days 2014. 7310 Frankstown Ave.

2) From the creators of Coraline and ParaNorman comes The Boxtrolls. This animated film is about a young man raised by fantastical creatures who have been targeted for extinction. Can our hero save them? Featuring the vocal talents of Ben Kingsley, Nick Frost, Tracy Morgan, and Elle Fanning. Check Fandango for local screens and times.

3) Another cool flick currently screening is The Equalizer,  starring Denzel Washington as an ex-Black Ops commando who comes out of retirement to help a young girl—and finds himself going head-to-head with the Russian Mafia.
