Chamber Music Pittsburgh Hosts Brentano Quartet with Todd Palmer (CPs Mon., 4/27/15)

1) Chamber Music Pittsburgh concludes their subscription series season with the noted Brentano Quartet with Todd Palmer, clarinet. They will be playing a program of three pieces, one each composed by Charpentier, James MacMillan, and Brahms. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a lobby recital from 7 – 7:20 p.m. Hear great music in a beautiful setting. Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland. 7:30 p.m., 4400 Forbes Ave.

2) The Balcony Big Band, with a special guest, is hitting only high notes in a Monday night performance at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. 7 p.m. No cover. 285 Northgate Dr., Warrendale.

3) It’s Global Mondays at Cappy’s Cafe in Shadyside with imported bottled beers for only $3. While there, team up an import with a bowl of their scrumptious chili, 1/2-pound beef or turkey burger, or French dip sandwich. 5431 Walnut St.
