1) The Balcony Big Band get’s Jergel’s joint jumpin’ on a Monday night. 8 p.m. No cover. 285 Northgate Dr., Warrendale.

2)  The Savoy Restaurant in the Strip presents it’s weekly “Savoy Jazz Mondays.” This week’s featured artist is jazz and blues vocalist Shawnee Lake:  hosting is the Roger Humphries Trio. 5-9 p.m. No cover. 2623 Penn Ave., Strip District.

3) Zero Dark Thirty, the movie detailing the CIA’s tracking  and the Navy SEALs  killing of America’s No. 1 enemy, Osama bin Laden, is screening at local theaters. Part documentary, part fictionalized drama, the movie is the latest from director/producer Kathryn  Bigelow, who’s other war movie The Hurt Locker, was also a big success. Zero Dark Thirty has garnered five Academy Award nominations including one for Best Picture. Cast includes Jessica Chastain,  Joel Edgerton and Kyle Chandler (the football coach in the TV series “Friday Night Lights).

4) Hubble,  an IMAX film chronicling the launch, repair and mission of the Hubble space telescope screens today. The film show’s spacewalking astronauts and “mind blowing” pictures of distant galaxies and constellations. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio. 11:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Rangos Omnimax theater. Carnegie Science Center, North Shore.
