1) Local ski areas  Seven Springs Mountain Resort and Hidden Valley Resort are running at full blast . Both are reporting full operations for skiing and snowboarding. If outdoor winter sports aren’t your cup of tea, both resorts offer many other indoor activities; swimming pools, work-out rooms. spa services, and eating and drinking in front of a fireplace. Both resorts are located east of Pittsburgh in Somerset County.

2) Seven Springs is taking a cue from it’s sister business, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ all you can eat” seats and is  offering a “Munchy Mondays” special, For $45 you get: night skiing/snowboarding pass (4 p.m. – close) and an all-you-can-eat voucher (4 – 8 p.m.)  at the First Tracks Cafe for: hot dogs, French fries, mac and cheese, popcorn, cheese pizza slices and fountain drinks.

3)  On Mondays and Tuesdays, Hidden Valley has a special for beginners who are looking to get out on the slopes.  They are offering ski/snowboard ticket, equipment rental and a beginnes group ski lesson. for $32.

4) This evening at Savoy Restaurant’s Savoy Jazz Mondays the featured entertainer is Kenia, a jazz and Latin vocalist. The  Monday jam is hosted by the Roger Humphries Trio. 5 – 9 p.m. No cover. 2623 Penn Ave., Strip District.
